Job Description: Wedding Planner
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Wedding Planner to join our Hospitality and Tourism team. The Wedding Planner will be responsible for planning and coordinating all aspects of weddings, ensuring that clients' visions are brought to life seamlessly. This role requires exceptional communication skills, creative problem-solving abilities, and a strong understanding of event planning within the hospitality and tourism industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with clients to understand their wedding vision, preferences, and budget constraints.
2. Plan, organize, and execute all logistical aspects of weddings, including venue selection, vendor management, and event timelines.
3. Conduct thorough research and provide recommendations on various wedding-related elements, such as themes, decorations, catering, entertainment, and photography.
4. Create and manage detailed wedding budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
5. Negotiate contracts and secure agreements with vendors, ensuring competitive pricing and favorable terms.
6. Coordinate and oversee all wedding-related activities, including rehearsals, ceremonies, receptions, and post-wedding events.
7. Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure clear expectations and seamless execution of weddings.
8. Address any issues or challenges that may arise during the planning process or on the day of the event, providing efficient solutions to minimize disruptions.
9. Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in event planning to enhance service delivery.
10. Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction and positive feedback.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, or a related field.
2. Proven experience (X years) as a Wedding Planner or in a similar role within the hospitality and tourism industry.
3. Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
4. Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of wedding planning and execution.
5. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
6. Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a professional demeanor.
7. Proficient in event planning software and other relevant technology tools.
8. A keen eye for design and aesthetics, with an ability to create visually appealing wedding concepts.
9. Knowledge of local wedding venues, vendors, and suppliers, with a strong industry network.
10. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by client demands.
